ROOTED IN THE GRANITE STATE

Local weather. Clear sources.

NH Weather brings New Hampshire forecasts, radar, and official alerts together in one place. We are an independent website, not a government agency or a replacement for official emergency communications.

Where the weather comes from

Forecasts, hourly outlooks, nearby station observations, and active alerts come from the National Weather Service API. Radar images come directly from NOAA’s radar mapping service. Basemap information is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors.

Forecasts describe the selected location. Current observations describe a nearby reporting station, whose name and observation time appear below the conditions. If a recent observation is unavailable, the site labels the conditions as a forecast. Airport conditions and town forecasts may differ from the weather at your exact address.

Updates and weather alerts

While the page is open, forecasts refresh every ten minutes, alert checks run every minute, and radar history refreshes every two minutes. These are check intervals, not guarantees that the source has published new information. Times are shown in Eastern Time.

Statewide alerts include NWS watches, warnings, advisories, and statements. Open an alert to read its affected areas, instructions, and expiration time. This site does not send push, email, or text alerts. Continue to use Wireless Emergency Alerts, NOAA Weather Radio, and local officials for urgent instructions.

If a feed fails, the site shows an unavailable message and provides official source links. Radar can be delayed, and mountain terrain can limit low-level radar coverage. A town forecast is not a higher summits forecast; check the Mount Washington Observatory before a summit trip.

Airport temperatures and road cameras

The map shows the 12 New Hampshire airport stations in the NWS reporting network, using METAR observations from the NOAA Aviation Weather Center. Readings are checked every three minutes. Tap a temperature for the station, observation time, wind, gusts, visibility, dew point, altimeter pressure, cloud layers, and flight category when reported. Wind speeds are displayed in mph, visibility in miles, and cloud heights in feet above the airport. Missing reports and reports more than two hours old are marked unavailable; airports without reporting weather stations cannot show a measured temperature.

Turn on Road cameras to see public NHDOT camera locations from New England 511. Open a camera to view its latest available snapshot. The open image refreshes every 30 seconds while the page is visible. Image load time is not capture time: check the timestamp printed on the image. Camera outages and delayed images can occur.
